Hey, I just emailed the LHA (Livonia Hockey) and basically pleaded that they take my dad as the final head coach in the midget division, so that he can coach my team. Yeah, if I haven't already said, the LHA took 3 coaches (Reed, Dowd, and Paquette), and then said the 4th coach was T.B.D. So dad is still in there, hanging in the balance, and I reallyyyy hope he gets this job. Anyways, here's my letter to them. I though I'd post it here so I'd always remember. Maybe the never read it. Maybe they just delete it. Maybe they take it to heart. Maybe they already chose and just haven't posted it on their website yet. Who knows, it may mean something or it may mean nothing. Maybe dad will take my team, but we'll suck. Maybe he'll take my team and quit half way through. Maybe he'll take my team and we'll be amazing. Maybe he'll show up drunk to every practice and game. I don't really know. Only time will tell, but I'd rather take my chances with him rather than take them with some other coach. Plus, if he was my coach, then we could see each other more than once every four months! Wouldn't that be something. Anyways, here it is....

hey, i was just wondering when the draft skate for the midget b division takes place. and i was curious if you guys have made a decision or when you might make a decision on who the final midget b coach would be. i know what i say really doesn't matter, and i might not even get a reply to this email, but i think my dad, matt myers, is the right choice. two years ago when he became coach of that peewee wild team, you guys came to him, and he reluctantly accepted. he shouldn't have taken that job, and he would admit that without hesitation. but now he's coming to you, and it's the right time to give him another chance. he has the coaching and drafting skills to produce a winner in an already thin midget division. anyways, i thank you for your time, and i hope you give my dad the chance and privilege to coach a team for livonia again, and be my head coach one last time.
thank you,
shane myers
